Meet Our Medical Director: Loris A. Tisocco, M.D.
    I am a Dermatologist with almost thirty years experience in the South Suburbs of Chicago, and Northwest Indiana in General, Surgical, Cosmetic Dermatology and Family Practice.  I completed residencies in both Dermatology and Family Practice at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois.  My academic appointment is Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology of Indiana University School of Mediciine (Northwest).  My professional Memberships include the American Academy of Dermatology, American Medical Association, American Society of Dermatological Surgery, Illinois Dermatological Association, Illinois State Medical Society, and the Italian-American Medical Society.  I am on the consulting staff of Ingalls Hospital (Harvey, Illinois), and Saint Margaret/Mercy Hospital (Hammond, Indiana).  Additionally, I am fluent in speaking Italian and Spanish.  I welcome the opportunity to serve your Dermatological needs.

ANNOUNCEMENT: FREE SKIN CANCER SCREENING
    May is Skin Cancer Awareness Month, therefore, our clinic will provide Free Skin Cancer Screenings throughout the three months of May, June, and July.  Our goal is to spread the word on sun safety, the importance of having annual skin cancer screenings, and early detection in the fight against skin cancer.
    Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the U.S., and the incidence of melanoma (the deadliest form of skin cancer) is rising faster than that of any other cancer.  In fact, one in five Americans will get skin cancer in their lifetime, and every 65 minutes, someone in the U.S. dies of melanoma.  While some are more at risk than others, anyone, regardless of skin color, ethnicity, age or geography can develop skin cancer.  The good news is that when skin cancer is detected and treated early, the majority of cases are curable.
